A few odd thoughts.
The biggest problem with evolution lies in its claim ‘survival of the fittest’. The difficulty with this is that the fittest do not survive. The reason for this is that all living beings have a lifespan, at the end of which they naturally die, so there can be no advantage to survival when survival does not exist.
You might say that living slightly longer promotes your ability to mate, but in fact you never had to be the fittest in order to mate and reproduce. Perhaps every living creature is the fittest by virtue of being alive then, but the best you can say is that the fittest will only live slightly longer than those who are not as fit.
Death is Universal.
